Help prevent "Summer Slide" with the Miami‑Dade Public Library System's Virtual Homework Help & Tutoring Program
In the wake of COVID‑19, MDPLS transitioned its in‑person library tutoring services to a virtual program offering 30 minute online tutoring sessions conducted by certified teachers on Saturdays from 10 a.m. ‑ 1 p.m.
This summer, we will continue to offer online tutoring services in reading and math every Saturday from June 13 through August 22 (excluding July 4 in observance of Independence Day). It is a great way for students to prevent summer learning loss and improve their reading and math skills.
Virtual tutoring sessions are available to all students in grades K‑12. To participate, a desktop computer or laptop with internet, video and audio capabilities is necessary. Please note, cell phones and iPads limit the functions of the online platform. Parental/guardian permission and an appointment are required.
To receive a virtual tutoring appointment, parents must submit a request for each week that they would like their child to receive Saturday tutoring. Please click on the box below using a Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox browser.
