Miami Book Month is the perfect time to discover new authors, explore great reads and celebrate the power of stories! Join the Library all month long for exciting programs and activities that bring readers and writers together.

What is Miami Book Month?

On October 18, 2022, the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution designated November as Miami Book Month, recognizing the vital role of reading, literacy and the organizations that promote literary arts throughout the community, including the Miami-Dade Public Library System, Miami Book Fair and Books & Books.

Year-Round Book Sale

Did you know you can buy books at your local library branch? Explore our year-round book sale, featuring gently used donated books, paperbacks and audiovisual materials (like DVDs and CDs) for just $1.00 each, with hardcovers priced at only $2.00.

Find great titles at bargain prices and support your Library at the same time! Proceeds benefit Miami-Dade Public Library System programs and events.
