Project L.E.A.D. (Literacy for Every Adult in Dade) is the library's adult literacy program which is designed to reach out to English speaking adults who are functionally illiterate - i.e., reading below the fifth grade level - and offer them free, one-on-one, confidential tutoring to improve their reading and writing skills. We match adult learners with volunteer tutors who help them achieve self-determined literacy goals.
