Older Americans Month – celebrated each year in May – recognizes the contributions of older Americans by highlighting aging trends and reaffirming commitments to serving older adults in our community.

This year's theme, Powered by Connection, emphasizes the importance of social connections in improving the well-being and health of older adults. The Miami-Dade Public Library System is celebrating Older Americans Month with a variety of events, programs and resources aimed at promoting social connections among older adults in our community and empowering them to stay active, informed and engaged.
