The Miami-Dade Public Library System recently held the groundbreaking ceremony of the future International Mall Branch Library, the second of ten libraries to be built as part of the Library System’s aggressive Capital Plan.
The event took place on June 15 with Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Alvarez, Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz and the Mayor of the City of Doral, Juan Carlos Bermudez.
The future 7,500 square-foot International Mall Branch Library will be built on a two-acre parcel adjacent to International Mall (behind Macy’s Men’s and Home Store). Budgeted at a construction cost of $3.1 million, the branch is expected to open in November 2007. |
