(MIAMI, OCTOBER 1, 2013) – The Miami‑Dade Public Library System invites teens 12‑19, to visit their nearest branch and be a part of Teen Read Week 2013, Outloud Events! October 12‑26.
Following the theme Seek the Unknown @ the Library ® teens are asked to read ‘out loud’ from their favorite graphic novel, comic book, book or magazine during one of many events scheduled at various branches. Participants will be awarded community service hours and will receive a T‑shirt designed by 18‑year‑old Maria Martinez, a student at Academy of Art University, and winner of the Teen Read Week T‑shirt Design Contest.
