(MIAMI, FL – DECEMBER 13, 2012) The Miami‑Dade Public Library System (MDPLS) is looking for adults 55 and older to get social and creative during its new Lifetime Living through Art for Older Adults series. Lifetime Living through Art is a series of workshops featuring drawing, quilting, photography, painting and jewelry making. The workshops are free and will be taught by local artists. Five branches have been selected to host the workshops. Sponsored by the MetLife Foundation Creative Aging Libraries Project, the program is made possible by a grant from the MetLife Foundation in partnership with MDPLS, Lifetime Arts Inc. and American Library Association's Public Programs Office. Interested adults must be able to commit to attending all of sessions and should contact the branch to register.
