SPANISH AUTHORS CARE SANTOS AND SUSANA VALLEJO, CHILDREN’S AUTHOR ANGELA LANE AND FORMER MIAMI BEACH MAYOR ALEX DAOUD AMONG AUTHORS TO VISIT MIAMI-DADE PUBLIC LIBRARIES IN NOVEMBER
Spanish authors Care Santos and Susana Vallejo, and children’s author Angela Lane are among the well-known authors and storytellers to visit branches of the Miami-Dade Public Library System during November.
On Tuesday, November 10, at 10:30 a.m. local author Angela Lane will visit the Main Library, 101 W Flagler Street, to discuss her work Mommy, There’s a Giraffe in my Room. On Monday, November 16, renowned storyteller and mime Antonio Rocha will mesmerize audiences at the Fairlawn Branch, 6376 S.W. 8 St., at 10 a.m. and the West Flagler Branch, 5050 West Flagler St., at 1 pm., and at 4:30 p.m. the Spanish Authors In America series continues, at the Miami Lakes Branch, 6669 Windmill Gate Road, with Care Santos, author of Inseparables,and Susana Vallejo author of Switch in the Red.
On Tuesday, November 17, 7 p.m. at the Sunny Isles Beach Branch, 18070 Collins Ave., Alex Daoud, three-time Mayor of Miami Beach, will join book club members to discuss his work Sins of South Beach: The True Story of Corruption, Violence, and the Making of Miami Beach, and on Wednesday, November 18, 7 p.m., at the Pinecrest Branch, visitors will learn how to “Tell Your Story,” on the big screen, with writer and producer Kathy Barber Hersh of Close-Up Productions.
