Volunteers Needed For Friends of the Library Book Sale
MIAMI, FL, – Volunteers are needed at South Florida’s largest book sale, sponsored by the Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library. Now in its sixth year, the sale will be held at the Main Library, 101 West Flagler, November 30 through December 3rd in downtown Miami on the Cultural Plaza.
Volunteers are needed to sort books before the sale and provide assistance on the days of the sale. Sorting sessions are already happening on Thursday evenings at the Main Library from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.; Saturday sessions may also be scheduled.
The book sale runs from Thursday, November 30 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Last year, $23,000 was raised to support library programs.
This year only, you can join the Friends (starting at $15) or renew your Friends membership and receive a certificate good for $15 in book sale purchases.
