Miami-Dade Public Library System’s Adult Summer Reading Challenge
(MIAMI, June 25, 2008) – On July, 1, 2008, the Miami-Dade Public Library System will kick-off its “Summer Reading Challenge” for adults 18 years and older.
“Our goal is to encourage adult patrons to experience library resources that they may not be familiar with,” states Library Director Raymond Santiago. “This summer, patrons can learn a new language, discover a new country or even master a hobby.”
The Summer Reading Challenge is easy. Adults are encouraged to visit any branch location, pick up a Summer Reading Challenge brochure and complete one or more of the recommended challenges. Prizes will be awarded for completing the challenges.
The Summer Reading Challenge runs through August 2nd. For additional information please log on to www.mdpls.org or call 305-375-BOOK (2665).
