Miami-Dade Public Library System wants to show your art for Think-it, Ink-it, Link-it, Sync-it: The Conni Gordon School
(MIAMI, May 6, 2008) The Miami-Dade Public Library System is looking for students who have studied with artist Conni Gordon to exhibit their artwork. Did you learn to paint in minutes? Did you learn how to “think-it, ink-it, link-it, then sync-it?” Gordon claims that through her four-step method anyone can learn how to paint and solve problems creatively. The Library System is also interested in finding out: What’s your story? What was your experience with Gordon like? Did making art change your life? Each work will be displayed along with the artist’s story.
If you are interested in displaying your work, contact the library’s Art Services at 305-375-5048 or art@mdpls.org with your name, phone number, address, and some brief information about when/how you learned from Gordon and the artwork you have for display. Participation is open only to those who learned to draw with Gordon and the deadline is June 1, 2008.
The exhibition takes places June 23 - August 28, 2008 at the Miami Beach Regional Library. This is part of a joint program organized by the Miami-Dade Public Library System’s Art Services and Exhibitions Department and the Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archive and culminates with the Rewind-Fast Forward Film Festival August 21-25, 2008.
