(Miami, FL) The Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library System - a nonprofit, charitable organization created in 1974 to support the Miami-Dade Public Library system - is in need of your fiction and non-fiction, both hardcover and paperback, foreign language, children and cookbooks for its annual book sale scheduled for Thursday, November 29th through Sunday, December 2nd at the Main Library, 101 West Flagler St., in downtown Miami. Magazines, encyclopedias and outdated textbooks will not be accepted.
Volunteers are also needed to serve on the Book Sale Committee as well as to help sort books.
Last year’s book sale raised nearly $36,000 to support value-added library programs such as The Art of Storytelling Festival and the Children’s Bookmark Contest.

The Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library System assists in the promotion of library interests within the community, supports volunteers in the branches and raises funds to sponsor programming.
