Miami, Fl April 7, 2004 - - Library patrons with a knowledge of Hebrew and those interested in Jewish heritage now have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Jewish culture at the Library. A valuable collection of books in the Hebrew language is ready to be checked-out, thanks to a donation made by the General Consulate of Israel in Miami to the Friends of the Library, who sponsored a reception in honor of the Consulate to celebrate the occasion at the Northeast Branch Library, 2930 Aventura Boulevard, on March 26. The Hebrew books can be ordered and returned to any library branch.
In addition, The Kendall Branch Library located at 9101 SW 97 Avenue, continues its series of Jewish related programs and author presentations. On Thursday, April 15, the branch will host two important events - a special program commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day and a presentation of Jewish books for the visually impaired.
