Miami, Fl -- The South Shore Branch Library will soon be moving to a permanent and larger facility. The existing branch at 225 Washington Avenue has closed. The branch will reopen on Tuesday, February 22 at 9:30 am at its new location, 131 Alton Road in Miami Beach, within The Courts Condominiums complex.

The branch, which opened over in March 1964, has tripled in size, from 1,600 to 5,000 square feet. It will feature a new children’s area and offer an expanded book collection as well as additional computer terminals. There will be a schedule change to accommodate working families.

New Hours – Effective February 22 at 131 Alton Road:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays
9:30 am – 6:00 pm
Wednesdays
11:30 am – 8:00 pm
