Miami-Dade Public Library Presents “Thinking Out of the Box” - A Workshop for Tutors of Adult Students, Saturday, January 26
(MIAMI, January 23, 2008) Lauri Schoneck, an Adult Basic Education and GED professor with the Seminole Community College will share techniques on how to stimulate adult learners during a training workshop on Saturday, January 26, 1-3 p.m., at the Main Library 101 W. Flagler Street.
This workshop, for tutors of adult learners, will provide training on using low tech tools, such as Post-it-Notes, index cards and highlighters, to prevent fatigue and improve focus in adult students.
The workshop is presented by the Miami-Dade Public Library System’s Project L.E.A.D. (Literacy for Every Adult in Dade), in association with the Region V Adult Literacy Center.
