Virtual reality, makerspaces, giant puppets, storytellers, cosplay and more!

– Miami-Dade Public Library System presents One Miami Family Festivals on Saturday, April 22 & 29 –

(Miami, FL – April 17, 2017) Let your imagination and creativity soar and enjoy a fun‑filled afternoon at the One Miami Family Festivals presented by the Miami‑Dade Public Library System on Saturday, April 22nd and 29th. The free festivals celebrate our diverse community through theater, dance, magic shows, MakerPalooza!, cosplay, gaming tournaments, virtual reality, storytelling and more.

Featured events include performances of Alice in Wonderland by Bits N’ Pieces Puppet Theatre, plays with anti‑bullying messages by City Theatre’s Short Cuts, music of all genres from LIVE! Modern School of Music, PATH to Hip‑Hop dance performances, The Wizard of Oz told through song and in spectacular costumes by the Miami Children’s Museum, magicians Robert Hermens and Gary Midnight, storyteller Carrie Sue Ayvar and special guest readers of the inspirational book Firebird by Misty Copeland.
