Miami-Dade Public Library System is proud to announce the grand opening of YOUmedia Miami at the South Dade Regional Library
(Miami, FL – January 21, 2016) The Miami-Dade Public Library System is proud to announce the grand opening of YOUmedia Miami at the South Dade Regional Library located at 10750 S.W. 211 Street in Miami on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. YOUmedia Miami builds upon the roles libraries play as places of innovation and exploration.
YOUmedia Miami is a high‑tech space where teens build and explore their creative talents using the space’s WhisperRoom recording booth, MakerBot 3D printers, green screen studio, and Apple computer lab featuring Adobe Creative Cloud and Logic Pro X software. Additionally, YOUmedia Miami staff provide free workshops for teens on technology and software related to music and video production, graphic design, photography, application and web development, animation, and journalism.
YOUmedia Miami at South Dade Regional Library is open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:30 ‑ 5 p.m.; Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 ‑ 7 p.m.; and Saturdays from 11 a.m. ‑ 5 p.m. It is closed on Fridays and Sundays. Teens must have a Library card and a high school I.D. in order to use the space.
