Miami-Dade Public Library System presents Miami Art Patterns

Miami-Dade Public Library System hosts a special art reception during Art Basel

(Miami, FL – December 1, 2015) The Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS) hosts a special art reception during Art Basel week on Thursday, December 3rd from 7‑10 p.m. at the Main Library located at 101 West Flagler Street in the Auditorium and Cultural Plaza. The reception will feature artwork from MDPLS’s Permanent Art Collection, Margarita Cano and Kiki Valdes. There will be special performances by Pablo Cano’s Musical Marionettes with opera singer Maria Elena Vallejo, live gypsy Jazz fusion by Carl Ferrari’s trio and live painting by local Miami artists Luis Valle, Tesoro Carolina and Sandy Rose. The event will also include a film screening of Labyrinth, a library dance film directed by choreographer Sandra del Portal.
