Your FREE entry to art, culture, entertainment and so much more!
Miami-Dade Public Library System proudly presents the Museum Pass! Just visit your nearest branch library, see staff for availability and use your library card to check out a museum pass. The Museum Pass offers patrons FREE admission for a family of four to the Deering Estate at Cutler, Fruit & Spice Park, HistoryMiami, Miami Art Museum, Miami Children's Museum, Miami Science Museum, and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
How the pass works:
* Deering Estate passes, a family of four is two adults and two children ages 4-14. Museums may apply restrictions including blackout dates or separate admission to special event/exhibits. |

Deering Estate at Cutler Directions: From Downtown Miami – Take I-95 south to South Dixie Highway; continue south to SW 168th Street. Turn left and travel east. Cross Old Cutler Road and the Visitor’s Center is about ½ block on the right. There is parking available at the Visitor’s Center or along 72nd Avenue From the Turnpike – Travel south to SW 152nd Street Exit (Coral Reef Drive). Continue east to Old Cutler Road. Turn right on Old Cutler Road and travel south to SW 168th Street. Turn left and the Visitor’s Center is about ½ a block on the right. There is parking available at the Visitor’s Center or along 72nd Avenue. Hours of Operation: The Deering Estate at Cutler – a Miami-Dade County Park – is a 444-acre natural and archeological preserve and historic site. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the estate serves as a center for education, culture and recreation. EcoAdventure Tours are also offered throughout the year for an additional fee. |

Fruit & Spice Park Directions from the Turnpike – Take exit 9B, go west on 248th Street to 187th Avenue. Hours of Operation: The Fruit & Spice Park hosts more than 500 varieties of fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, nuts, and other commercially important plant specimens from around the world. Take a guided tour conducted daily at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. |

HistoryMiami Directions: From I-95 north – Exit onto NW 2nd St (Exit 2B). Turn right onto NW 2nd St and then right onto NW 2nd Ave for one block. From I-95 south – Exit at NW 8th St (Exit 3B Port of Miami). Turn left onto NW 2nd St and then turn right onto NW 2nd Ave for one block. Hours of Operation: HistoryMiami is the premier cultural institution committed to gathering, organizing, preserving and celebrating Miami’s history as the unique crossroads of the Americas. The Museum accomplishes this through exhibitions, city tours, education, research, collections and publications. HistoryMiami connects people by telling the stories of Miami’s communities, individuals, places and events. HistoryMiami includes a Museum, an Archives & Research Center, the Education Center, the South Florida Folklife Center, Miami Circle, City Tours, and the Miami International Map Fair. |

Miami Art Museum (MAM) Directions: From the north – Take I-95 southbound – Downtown. Exit at NW 8th St. (Exit 3B / Port of Miami/Orange Bowl). Turn left onto NW 2nd St. Turn right onto NW 2nd Ave. The museum is two blocks south, on the left with the parking garage on the right. From the south – Take I-95 northbound. Exit at NW 2nd St.- (Arenas / Exit 2B) and turn right. Turn right again at NW 2nd Ave. The museum is two blocks south on the left with the parking garage on the right. From the east –Take I-395/MacArthur Causeway westbound. Exit onto Biscayne Blvd. (Arenas / Exit 2). Turn left onto Biscayne Blvd. Proceed south approximately ¼ mile. Turn right onto E. Flagler St. Turn right onto NW 2nd Ave. The museum is on the right and the parking garage on the left. From west – Go east on West Flagler St. Turn left onto NW 2nd Ave. The museum is on the right and the parking garage on the left. Hours of Operation: MAM is dedicated to collecting and exhibiting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries with an emphasis on the cultures of the Atlantic Rim – the Americas, Europe and Africa – from which the vast majority of Miami residents hail. Recently, Miami Art Museum has presented exhibitions of works by Janet Cardiff and George Buress Miller, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Quisqueya Henriquez, Guillermo Kuitca, Wifredo Lam, Susan Rothenberg and Yinka Shonibare, and its permanent collection includes works by Doug Aitken, José Bedia, Mark Dion, Marcel Duchamp, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Ann Hamilton, Arturo Herrera, Alfredo Jaar, Sol LeWitt, Vik Muniz, Wangechi Mutu, Robert Rauschenberg, Gerhard Richter, James Rosenquist, Tomas Saraceno, Lorna Simpson and Rachel Whiteread. |

Miami Children’s Museum Directions: From the north or south – Take I-95 northbound or southbound. Exit at I-395/MacArthur Causeway toward Miami Beach. Exit right at Watson Island and follow the road to the museum. The museum and parking are on the left. From the east – Take I-395/MacArthur Causeway toward Miami. Exit right at Watson Island. Turn left at the stop sign. Follow the curved road all the way to cross back under the interstate. The museum and parking are on the right. From the west – Take 836 east. Exit onto I-395/MacArthur Causeway. Exit right at Watson Island and follow the road to the museum. The museum and parking are on the left. Hours of Operation: Founded in 1983, Miami Children’s Museum is dedicated to enriching the lives of all children by fostering a love of learning and enabling children to reach their highest potential. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to play together, learn, imagine and create. The 56,500-square-foot facility includes 14 galleries, classrooms, and a 200-seat auditorium. The museum offers hundreds of bilingual, interactive exhibits; programs and classes, including special needs classes; Subway restaurant; KidSmart educational gift shop and learning materials related to arts, culture, community and communication. |

Miami Science Museum Directions: From the north – Take I-95 to Exit #1A/SW 25 Road, stay in the right hand lane and follow the signs to the Museum/Planetarium. From the south – Follow U.S. 1 and make right just before the split with I-95. From Metrorail, exit at the Vizcaya Station and cross U.S. 1 via the pedestrian overpass. Hours of Operation: The Miami Science Museum aims to make a difference in people’s lives by inspiring them to appreciate the impact that science and technology can have on every facet of our world. For over 60 years, MiaSci’s award-winning educational programs, family-focused exhibits, historic planetarium, and rehabilitative Wildlife Center and Clinic have enriched locals and tourists alike. MiaSci is accredited by the American Association of Museums and is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution. |

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens From the north – Take I-95 south to Exit 1A, turn right onto South Miami Avenue and turn left at 3rd light into Vizcaya. From the south – Take US 1 (South Dixie Highway) north to SW 17th Avenue. Turn right on SW 17th Avenue (east). Turn left onto South Bayshore Drive. Turn right at 5th light into Vizcaya From the west – Take 836 east and exit onto I-95 south. Follow I-95 south to Exit 1A. Turn right onto South Miami Avenue. Turn left at 3rd light into Vizcaya. Hours of Operation: Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a Miami-Dade County facility that is accredited by the American Association of Museums and distinguished as a United States National Historic Landmark. With its phenomenal human-made and natural resources, Vizcaya was built in the 1910's, a decade in which Gilded Age cultural standards were enlivened by the irreverent spirit of the dawning Jazz Age. It also introduces visitors to Miami’s place in this history – a time when America’s wealthiest industrialists created lavish homes inspired by the palaces of Europe. |
