South Shore Branch Library is one of the newest facilities in the system. The branch, which first opened in March 1964, has tripled in size from 1,600 to 5,000 square feet. Now located at a newly built facility, it features a new children’s area and offers an expanded book collection, a full range of databases, as well as more than 25 computer terminals with Internet access.
