This dynamic, up-to-date library, completely rebuilt in 1994, serves a multicultural community. The building has two large skylights, which bring in bright, natural light and create a cheerful atmosphere for researchers, browsers and children. The helpful, knowledgeable staff welcome users to explore the Internet and its 115,000-volume collection of videos, audiobooks, CDs, language CDs, Spanish and large print books. Readers may join three book discussion groups and receive free Internet instruction in Spanish or English. On popular special event days, the library’s one- hundred-seat programming room fills to capacity. Ample, adjacent parking provides convenient access to this 16,000 square-foot modern structure located one block west of U.S. 1 on S.W. 152nd Street (Coral Reef Drive).
