Shenandoah Branch
The Shenandoah Branch Library reopened in December 2010 after undergoing a $1.5M renovation to the interior and exterior. The 50-year-old facility now boasts a new main entrance that features outside seating and a plaza-style feel which offers patrons the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and free WiFi with their personal laptops. The branch also provides 16 PCs and 20 laptops to provide patrons access to the Internet as well as the library’s large assortment of digital resources. The interior includes an open floor plan with improved lighting, new furniture, new fixtures and ADA modifications. The branch is also equipped with a Reading Ready Early Literacy center and contains interactive play-to-learn resources as well as designated areas for teens and adults.
